Space to Grow Well

A meaningful space extends beyond bricks and mortar. It is about connecting people, creating opportunities, and fostering growth. As a long-standing member of the Tsuen Wan community, Chinachem Group regards Tsuen Wan as home and is committed to drawing on its expertise in construction, placemaking and community building to help create a better living environment for all.

In line with this vision, the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room was established to support subdivided unit households in the district. The project is funded by the Community Care Fund, with the venue, fitting-out works and part of the facilities sponsored by Chinachem Group, and operated by Yan Chai Hospital. Covering a total area of 7,034 square feet, it is expected to serve 610 subdivided unit households, providing services to approximately 92,000 person-visits annually.

Through shared living spaces, diverse facilities and community support services, the Community Living Room creates opportunities for members to learn, connect and grow, enhancing their quality of life while fostering a stronger sense of belonging and a more cohesive community.

Community Living Room Facilities

Drawing on Chinachem Group’s experience in placemaking and people-centric design, the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room brings together diverse shared spaces and well-equipped facilities under one roof. Designed to meet the daily needs of members, it provides a welcoming environment where people can connect, explore new interests, learn new skills and pursue personal growth.

Wonder Playroom: A dedicated early childhood space designed by occupational therapists.

    Stephen Wong｜Keeping a Lifelong Passion Alive

    Table tennis has been part of Stephen's life since his teenage years. Once a district representative player and assistant coach, he has always held a deep affection for the sport even as his health gradually led him to play less after retirement.

    Through the table tennis activities at the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room, Stephen has been able to return to the sport he loves. Today, he not only plays regularly with fellow members but also volunteers as an assistant coach, sharing his experience and passion with others.
  • The shared kitchen and activity spaces at the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room have given her more opportunities to cook, participate in workshops and spend quality time with her daughter.

    Chai On｜Bringing People Together Through Shared Experiences

    For Chai On, cooking has always been a way to connect with family and friends. Living in a limited space, however, often made it difficult to fully enjoy these moments.

    The shared pantry and activity spaces at the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room have given her more opportunities to cook, participate in workshops and spend quality time with her daughter. Through music, food and shared experiences, she has built new friendships and discovered new ways to enjoy everyday life.

    Yuen Ying｜Finding Space to Follow Her Dreams

    Music has always been an important part of Yuen Ying's life. Yet practising at home was often challenging due to limited space and noise concerns.

    With access to the music facilities at the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room, she now has a dedicated environment where she can focus on practising, experimenting and developing her skills. The space allows her to pursue her passion with greater freedom while sharing her love of music with her family.
  • From mobile technology classes and community programmes to exchanging recipes and experiences with other members, she has discovered new interests and valuable knowledge along the way.

Chinachem Group actively supports the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room in organising diverse activities that bring members and their families together. From festive celebrations and family programmes to neighbourhood exploration activities, these shared moments help strengthen family bonds while fostering a greater sense of connection to the community.

  • Members of the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room and their families were invited to join the “My Friend Rabbit – Amusing Summer” experience at NINA MALL, where interactive games and discovery activities brought parents and children together through play and exploration.

    A Summer of Family Fun and Discovery

    Summer is a time for children to explore the world around them and for families to create meaningful memories together. Members of the Tsuen Wan Community Living Room and their families were invited to join the “My Friend Rabbit – Amusing Summer” experience at NINA MALL, where interactive games and discovery activities brought parents and children together through play and exploration.

    Beyond the fun, the experience encouraged families to discover different sides of Tsuen Wan and connect with the neighbourhood around them. Through these shared moments, children and parents were able to build new memories while strengthening their connection with the community they call home.
